Britain sets conditions for Taliban
Richard Lindsay, the British special representative for Afghanistan, stressed that the establishment of formal diplomatic relations between London and Kabul is conditional on the international community recognizing the current Afghan government. Referring to the international community’s conditions for legitimizing the Afghan government, he said that achieving this requires practical measures in the areas of human rights and security from the Taliban.
