Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian once again emphasized Iran’s water rights and Tehran’s request to the Taliban government in Afghanistan to allow experts to visit the dam on the Helmand River instead of making political statements.
Emphasizing that political statements alone are not enough, Amirabdollahian stressed on technical investigations by experts to determine the amount of water behind the dam.
The Taliban attribute the decrease in the volume of rivers to climatic factors, but Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi stated that if Iranian experts confirm the lack of water, Iran will accept this situation. Otherwise, he will not allow the rights of his people to be violated!
